TCF3.

The goal of TCF3 is to help women in the Twin Cities area get physically prepared for a career in the fire service. TCF3 volunteers host monthly workouts at the Saint Paul Fire training grounds, where participants can get hands-on time with equipment that simulates the tasks they will face as firefighters.

TCF3 was founded by Local 21 members who saw the need to improve recruiting for women in the fire service, who make up only 9% of the industry nationwide. By giving women a chance to experience both the physical demands and the community of the job in a monthly group setting, TCF3 hopes to attract more women to the profession.

TCF3 instructors go through a training program to give them the best resources available for training prospective firefighters. If you’re a Local 21 member looking to get involved with TCF3, reach out to Firefighter Megan Roesler Turner, Training Division, or Firefighter Sarah Reasoner, Rescue 3-A.
