Local 21 Honor Guard
The Honor Guard’s primary function is to lay our fallen Brothers and Sisters to rest, and to support their families as they grieve the loss of a family member. The Local 21 Honor Guard provides this service to both Saint Paul Firefighters past and present, as well as firefighters across the country. It is often in mourning that we realize how strong and wide-reaching the brotherhood of the fire service truly is, and the Honor Guard is a significant way we demonstrate that bond.
Wherever the Honor Guard goes, they represent the discipline, commitment to service, and professionalism of Saint Paul Firefighters. Because of this, the Honor Guard is often specially requested to present the colors at major events, such as graduations, inaugurations, ceremonies, and sporting events.

The Honor Guard is made up of active Saint Paul Firefighters who volunteer their time to ensure one of our proudest traditions is being carried on with the respect and solemnity that duty is owed.
