Firefighters United of Saint Paul is a brotherhood and sisterhood rooted in service, representation, and community. Our organization continues a legacy over 30 years strong—supporting Black firefighters, promoting equity in the fire service, and showing up for the neighborhoods we proudly protect.

Firefighters United is comprised of Local 21 members dedicated to the mission of the International Association of Black Professional Fire Fighters.

Our mission is to be actively involved and supportive in the St. Paul community, be an upstanding role model for all people, and build a diverse team by recruiting, retaining, and advocating for Black firefighters.

Everything we do centers on community. Through outreach, education, mentorship, and public service, we work to uplift residents, strengthen relationships, and create a safer and more inclusive Saint Paul.
